A healthy snail starts with a healthy plate. Just like us, pet snails thrive on a varied, balanced diet filled with fresh vegetables, leafy greens, and a reliable source of calcium. Offering a colorful mix of foods keeps your snail active, supports shell growth, and encourages natural foraging behavior.

🥬 Fresh Daily Favorites

Rotate a variety of fresh vegetables throughout the week:

  • Romaine lettuce

  • Kale

  • Dandelion greens

  • Cucumber

  • Zucchini

  • Carrots

  • Sweet potato

  • Bell peppers

  • Mushrooms

Remove any uneaten fresh food after 24–48 hours to prevent mold and fruit flies.

🍎 Fruits as an Occasional Treat

Fruit is best offered in moderation because of its natural sugar content.

Great choices include:

  • Apple (no seeds)

  • Blueberries

  • Strawberry

  • Pear

  • Melon

🦴 Calcium Is Essential

Healthy shells require a constant calcium source.

Always keep one of these available:

  • Cuttlebone

  • Pure calcium carbonate

  • Crushed, sterilized eggshells

  • Oyster shell flour

Your snail will consume calcium whenever it needs it.

🌱 Don't Forget Leaf Litter

Natural leaf litter provides both enrichment and nutrition. Organic avocado leaves are a favorite because snails enjoy grazing on both fresh and aged leaves while using them as shelter.

⭐ A Convenient Option for Busy Owners

Fresh vegetables are wonderful, but they do require regular replacement. If you're busy, traveling, or simply want an easy, consistent nutrition option, our Snaily Complete Weekly Diet is a great solution.

Benefits include:

  • ✅ Long shelf life

  • ✅ Won't spoil quickly like fresh vegetables

  • ✅ Easy to serve

  • ✅ Balanced nutrition for pet garden snails

  • ✅ Perfect for busy pet owners or while you're away on vacation

You can offer it as a regular meal or keep it available as a backup whenever fresh food isn't practical.

💧 Finish with Fresh Water

Lightly mist your enclosure daily to maintain humidity, and always provide access to clean, dechlorinated water (avoid deep water dishes).
